Petit Le Mans (Best race in America?)

If you are unaware, the 13th annual Petit Le mans begins this weekend at one of the greatest courses in the world, Road Atlanta (shown belowThe Petit Le Mans is a 10 hour/1000 miles race separated into multiple categories. This race is likely to be the most exciting American race in 2010.

Infact, Audi, Peugeot, Porsche, Ferrari, Ford, Jaguar, Chevrolet, Honda, BMW, and more are contenders in their separate categories.

Above are simply a few pictures of previous races, and the previous year's winner. The race was shortened last year due to rain, but the weather certainly looks clear for this weekend. The race will be broadcasted on TV, and I'm sure it will attract many car fanatics.

New Cop Cars

You'll have to memorize the look of two new cop cars shortly. Announced at the beginning of the month, police will be getting new rides as early as the start of 2011. The 3 major contenders are the Chevy Caprice (More commonly known as the Holden Caprice), the Ford Taurus, and the Dodge Charger. All 3 of these cars are quite unique, yet they have their ups and downs. I'll be going into more detail below.

The Chevy(Holden) Caprice:

  • Built in Australia
  • 6.0-liter V8 produced 355 horse power
  •  Rear Wheel Drive
  • GM says "0-60 in less than 6 seconds"
The Ford Taurus:

  • Will replace the 'Crown Victoria'
  • Twin Turbo V6 producing 365 horse power (This is the faster of the two Ford versions)
  • All Wheel Drive
  • Fuel efficient and provides very adequate power
The Dodge Charger Pursuit:

  • Continued model from previous years
  • 5.7-liter V8 Hemi (And a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine model)
  • Rear Wheel Drive
  • Video Leaked (<-- Footage of the new Charger)
Out of all 3 vehicles, the Chevy Caprice appeals to me most due to its wonderful technology, and it being manufactured by Holden. Although I'm not quite looking forward to any of them actually being on the road....

2010 Ferrari 599 SA Aperta

Well the new Ferrari 599 SA Aperta is officially sold out, and it's the rarest Ferrari ever created. Honestly the car is absolutely gorgeous, but the price tag of $456,000 makes it a dreamcar. Although I'm sure the cars are considered priceless to the owners now, I'd be proud to boast about owning 1/80 of these masterpieces.

The specs are certainly top-notch producing 670 hp from the V12 6.7L engine.

What are your thoughts upon this coupe? Is it even worth the money?
Well I've decided I'll dedicate most of the blog towards cars and auto.

I might as well throw some more stuff out there aswell, but I'll focus upon the above for now. Anyhow I should start shortly tomorrow :D

Introduction To Myself

I suppose an introduction is needed, so I'll keep it short and simple due to this irrelevant article. Infact I believe a bulleted list would be perfect for this!

General Information:
  •  My name is Stephen, yet I go by the alias of Bludd
  • 18 years old - Approaching 19 shortly
  • I tend to be laid back and chill, I don't stress
  • Hobbies include music, cars, sports, friends, so the typical stuff (Although I don't believe I am typical whatsoever)
Why I'm blogging?:
  • I wanted to try it, hehe. Nothing more to it really.
  • Whether I continue to Blog, I'm not quite sure. I'm just going to go with the flow
What I will blog about?:
  • Considering I'm new to this, I'll probably include everything and everything which is moderately interesting. Anything from schoolwork to my daily life, I suppose.
Anyhow that should be enough of a summary for now, I'm more interested in experimenting with the whole 'Blog Thing'
